 In AD 922, Arab courtier Ahmad Ibn Fadlan accompanies a party of Vikings to the barbaric North. Ibn Fadlan is appalled by the Vikings customs– their wanton sexuality, their disregard for cleanliness, their cold-blooded human sacrifices.
