In fact, the album--with its introspection, emotiveness, and guitar and piano-driven songwriting--fits neatly into the style pioneered by such '70s artists as James Taylor, which should please all folk and pop fans, whether they were born before 1973 or after.

Speed Up My PC is designed to help your speed up your Windows installation and your computer to help them run more efficiently. As long as we have had PCs, there have been solutions that attempt to squeeze a bit more performance out of your existing system. One way to overcome this problem is through newer pieces of hardware. A faster CPU, more RAM and a beefier video card can work wonders. An alternative is to install software that attempts to speed up or stabilize Windows, memory or hard drive usage. I'll forgo a full historical review of these applications and instead sum up the basic problem and solution.

Windows and its predecessor, DOS, have been plagued with less than optimal abilities to handle memory and multitasking applications. These problems result in slow operation and system crashes. Software solutions aim to optimize the use of memory and hardware to address some of Windows’ inherent flaws. Another way to look at it is from a people perspective. Although you could upgrade a person’s hardware (give them a new brain), it is quite costly (and impossible with today’s technology). It's simply more efficient to teach them better ways of remembering or processing information. Although computer hardware upgrades are more viable, they can still be costly.

Speed Up My PC, like other software solutions, aims to make the most of your current PC hardware and software and keep the “blue screen of death” at bay. The tool monitors several aspects of your PC and, via a wizard, offers suggestions on how to improve your current situation. The areas it addresses are CPU (processing speed), RAM (computer memory), Internet, Startup Applications and Windows crashing.

When you install and start Speed Up My PC it offers several suggestions on how to improve your PC’s performance. The instructions are straightforward and the suggestions appear to be sound. One of the first items to look into are the startup applications. Speed Up My PC provides an optimizing wizard and will let you pick what programs to disable as Windows loads. The program then records the last several startup times so you can see if your changes have the desired effect.

The next item to examine is the CPU monitor. Its primary advantage is that it allows you to prioritize programs. Using a drop down menu you can specify a program that should be set to run in the background or have priority in the foreground. Coupled with this is a system resource monitor that enables the feature to only be activated when a certain CPU usage level is reached.

The memory monitor is probably the most active portion of the program. When using your PC, RAM is often not made available in the most optimal fashion. This problem can lead to slower program operation and heavier use of the page file (which uses space on your hard drive to temporarily store data when you run out of RAM). In addition to being able to use the RAM recovery application on demand, you can also set it up to automatically activate whenever a certain threshold is reached.

The Internet monitor aims to optimize your Internet connection. Speed Up My PC notes that the Windows system optimizes your settings for a local area network (LAN) connection. Using some of the same principles as some of the other connection speed up programs, Speed Up My PC looks at your PC’s speed and then adjusts the registry settings to optimize your network or modem throughput based on your current Internet connection.

Crash recovery, in principle, works to prevent any crashes and allows you to continue if one does. Of course the best thing about this is that it then enables you to hopefully save what you were working on before the whole system crashes.

Upgrade Notes for Windows Vista

If your prior ThumbsPlus installation had a shared database or separate database for each user, everything should upgrade correctly. However, older versions of ThumbsPlus defaulted to use an installation in a folder in the Program Files area for the database and preferences. On Windows Vista, this area is write-protected for users, so ThumbsPlus cannot use this location unless run with Administrator privileges. The ThumbsPlus installer will detect if a prior installation was done there and warn you about it.
In this case, the recommended way to install is to:

1. Make a copy of your existing database if you wish to preserve information (thumbnails, keywords, user fields, galleries). If you have just upgraded from XP, the database will be located in the ThumbPlus folder in Program files. If you ran earlier versions of ThumbsPlus on Vista already, Vista may have copied your database to one of the following locations:

C:\ProgramData\Thumbs7
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Thumbs7

Because of Vista's horrid and messy File System Virtualization for compatibility, this may be the case even if ThumbsPlus still shows the file as being in C:\Program Files\Thumbs7!

If you do not find your database in any of these locations, search your disks (including hidden and non-indexed locations) for Thumbs.td4. The largest or newest is probably the correct database.

If you have created databases with other names or in non-default locations, they will not be affected by the uninstall.
2. Use Control Panel - Programs and Features to remove the old ThumbsPlus installation.
3. Run the ThumbsPlus SP2 Setup program. In the final screen, note the location where ThumbsPlus will open the database
4. Copy the database you save in Step 1 to overwrite the empty database created by the installer in Step 3.

Another option is to install in a different location and organize your databases after installation.
Changes for Microsoft Vista and UAC compatibility

* The installer, all executables and the shell extension DLLs are now signed for Vista and IE compatibility.
* Shell extensions have been updated for Vista, Longhorn and 64-bit operating system compatibility.
* Functions requiring administrative privilege have been moved to ThumbsPriv.exe and ThumbsPriv64.exe (for 32 and 64-bit versions of Vista). You will now receive a Vista UAC (User Access Control) prompt rather than an error message when labeling disks and installing or removing fonts.
* ThumbsPlus now indicates on the menu bar (with a '+') and its icon (with a shield) when it is running with elevated privileges on Vista/Longhorn.
* Added Vista privilege shield overlay for toolbar buttons and menu images for functions requiring elevation (volume labeling and font installation and removal).
* Fixed Image - Remove Red Eye to work properly on Windows Vista with the Aero user interface.
* Changed the Thumbs.exe manifest to avoid file redirection on Vista.
* Modified the installer to disallow full installation into the Program Files folder (as this is prohibited by Vista standards).
* Fixed it so ThumbsPlus now properly handles internal errors and no longer asks whether to send them to Microsoft on Vista with UAC.

Rapidshare Get Points V2.23

Main Window:
-speed [pts/hour]. -How many points you collected this session [and time].
-How many did you download last 5 days [for the 25gig limit].

Settings:
-Select your RS account Type [Collector or Premium] -
-Choose if you want to launch it on startup.
-If you want to launch it minimized.
-If you want to display a TrayTooltip [Right bottom corner] which appear when you get points [how many] with which account, and total collected.
-You need to fill your account infos to acess to this program.

History:
Here you can acess to your collected Points per day history.
It obviously needs to be active on that day to know how many points did you collected
